NUS Freshman Orientation
80 camps, 1 big NUS Family. This snippet celebrates the return of in-person freshman orientation camps at the National University of Singapore (NUS). With 80 camps taking place, a sense of unity and belonging is fostered as new students embark on their academic journey together.
NUS Students' Union (NUSSU) Rag & Flag
Dating back to 1958, the NUSSU Rag & Flag Day is an annual university tradition, where students and staff rally together to give back to society. The event comes in two parts, firstly Flag Day, where NUS students head out into the community with tin cans to seek donations in aid of the beneficiaries from members of the public. The charity effort culminates in Rag (Receiving and Giving) Day, where students stage spectacular performances in a show of appreciation to donors for their generosity. In 2022, we raised S$230,000 for 21 beneficiaries from Community Chest.
NUS MedCamp
A 3-day camp where students are immersed in a blend of lectures, tutorials, discussions, quizzes, case studies, sharing sessions and Q&A sessions which will give them a taste of what it’s like to be in the medical and nursing schools.
Interfaculty Games
The games are on. 10 faculties compete fiercely at this exciting 6-week long sporting event. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their athletic prowess, build camaraderie across faculties, and create lasting memories.
